WELD 2014 - GTAW 5G and 6G Pipe Welding

This course covers hands-on training utilizing the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process on carbon steel pipe. The focus of this course will be open root passes made in the 5G and 6G positions with GTAW while fill and cover passes will use walking the cup technique and also be made with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) using 7018. American Welding Society (AWS) welding procedures will be used to evaluate welds.
