WELD 1209 - Basic Pipe Welding

This course focuses on the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) of carbon steel pipe in the horizontal position using E6010 and E7018 electrodes. The focus of this course will be preparing for an American Welding Society (AWS) qualification test on pipe in the 2G position. The course covers 6010 open root passes with fill and cover passes being made with both 6010 and 7018 electrodes.
