Program Information
The Certificate in Health Data Analytics in Health Information Management is designed for professionals working in the health care field who are seeking to improve their analytics skills. The program will prepare students to sit for the Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) credential exam with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Program Learning Outcomes
- Prepare to sit for the Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) exam
- Enhance their skills in both the use of analytics tools and health data analysis
- Increase fluency in healthcare data and analytics terminology in multiple areas
- Apply analytics tools to business use cases
- Match appropriate visualizations to data uses
- Develop effective data storytelling skills
- Increase fluency in query languages
- Identify ways to stay current in evolving digital technology and data sources
Admission Requirements
Successful completion of an RHIT or RHIA credential from AHIMA or a bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university

Program Requirements
All courses required for this program must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
