In this 16-hour mini-course you will learn, refresh and practice skills required to be a successful college reader. You will improve your reading comprehension by learning and practicing active reading and learning strategies such as annotating, note taking, building vocabulary, and developing test taking skills. You will demonstrate understanding of a variety of college reading materials through writing, quizzing, discussion, and a final test. At the end of the course you will receive a placement recommendation based on your course performance. You also will have the option to retake the Accuplacer at no cost.

Course Prerequisite(s): Accuplacer placement score between 215-249 and/or admissions approval
