HITM 1130 - ICD-10-CM Coding

This course is an introduction to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM). The course will emphasize correct diagnosis coding, utilizing the alphabetic index and tabular listing within the current ICD-10-CM codebook. The course will focus on rules and conventions of ICD-10-CM as well as the chapter-specific guidelines for assignment of principal and additional diagnoses in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
