ELEC 2072 - Motors and Controls II 3 Credit(s) 1 credit lecture/2 credits lab
This Motors and Controls course is a continuation of ELEC 2021 Motors and Controls I, and is intended to develop a fundamental understanding of electric motor control methods and techniques common in the electrical industry. This course will include study of electronic controls, time delay sequence control, interlocking circuits, reduced voltage starting, and troubleshooting process controls. This course will also include the study of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) fundamental installation and operation. This course is a component of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Two-year Technical Program Experience Credit Rules.
Course Prerequisite(s): ELEC 2021 and ELEC 2041
