ELEC 1101 - Power Limited

This course covers the general procedures for installing and terminating voice, data, fire alarm, and signaling cables with a structured cabling approach. Emphasis will be placed on the various types and ratings of common low-voltage cable, as well as fiber optic cable used for non power-limited or power-limited circuits. National Electrical Code (NEC) articles that pertain to these areas will also be studied. This course is a component of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Electrical ACT Two-year Technical Program Experience Credit Rules.
