DIAG 2600 - The Diagnostic Process 2 Credit(s) 1 credit lecture/1 credit lab
This course introduces the diagnostic process for addressing advanced electronic and computer controlled system failures. Automotive safety and hazardous material handling will be reviewed. Communicating, interacting, interviewing, and using a systematic approach to gather customer information will be covered. Accurate repair order documentation using the Complaint, Cause, and Correction (3-C’s) format will be addressed. This course will also review operation of Fluke 88V advanced functions and introduce the use and operation of the automotive oscilloscope as a diagnostic tool.
