This course introduces person-centered planning, health communication, and teaching strategies used by behavioral, mental, developmental, and community health workers (CHW). Students develop skills in effective and culturally responsive communication, motivational interviewing, and capacity-building while learning to create person-centered plans that translate individual strengths, preferences, and choices into actionable support strategies within legal and ethical frameworks.
