NURS 1432 - Behavioral Health Nursing 2 Credit(s) (2 credits lecture/0 credits lab)
Behavioral Health Nursing focuses on the care of patients with psychiatric or behavioral conditions while promoting and maintaining the mental health of individuals. The nursing process is emphasized with the integration of the principles of therapeutic communication and pharmacological interventions in promoting the health of individual patients across the lifespan.
Course Prerequisite(s): Must be accepted into the Practical Nursing program for the current semester. Successful completion of HLTH 1005 , HLTH 1040 , ENGL 1107 , and MATH 1010 . Course Corequisite(s): Current enrollment or successful completion of NURS 1400 , NURS 1405 , NURS 1410 , and NURS 1420 .
