MAST 2702 - Clinical Procedures II 4 Credit(s) 2 Credits Lecture/2 Credits Lab
This course is designed to cover the fundamentals of drug administration, nutrition, emergency medicine, casting, fracture, and wound care. Therapeutic modalities, geriatrics, immunizations, body mechanics, and patient education will also be covered. This course will also demonstrate how to perform a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG). Students will perform EKGs in a simulated lab along with reviewing the anatomy of the heart and circulatory system.
Course Prerequisite(s): HLTH 1005 , HLTH 1040 , MATH 1010 , MAST 1301 , MAST 1402 , and MAST 1603 Course Corequisite(s): MAST 1200 and MAST 1701
Registration Requirement(s): Restricted to the following major: Medical Assistant AAS and diploma.
