PHIL 1200 - Technology, Ethics and Society

This course is a practical overview of the key issues and questions related to the ethical use of technology. The course will survey the major ethical theories and explore the general relationship between society’s ethical standards and emerging technologies. Further inquiry will identify the impact technology has on current ethical and social issues surrounding such areas as information technology, healthcare, business, nanotechnology, government, artificial intelligence/robotics and whistleblowing.
