MACH 1105 - Basic Machining

This course covers introduction to basic milling machine, lathe, and band saw operation including safety, machine controls, machine setup, common milling and lathe operation such as cutting tools geometry, grinding tool, facing, turning, knurling, boring, external threading, grooving, recessing, conventional milling machine principals etc. Machining feeds and speeds calculation. Operation of Drill presses with proper tooling. Program and operate conversational mills.
