ITEC 2415 - Virtualization Technologies

In this course, you gain the skills needed to install, configure and manage virtual servers and workstations. Students will learn to employ VMware, Microsoft virtual machine (VM), leverage VMs to build testing, support and training environments, partition physical servers to decrease operating costs and migrate from physical to virtual machines. Additional topics include using hypervisors, or a virtual machine monitor (VMM), to facilitate workload delivery, how to manage a centralized, on-demand application delivery framework and implement failsafe system backup and recovery strategies.
